Granite surface plates are manufactured using natural black granite stone, quarried from earth in its natural form. These precision granite surface plates are precision lapped to high standards of flatness  to achieve accuracy and are used as bases for mounting sophisticated mechanical, electronic and optical gauging systems. Our quality inspectors and engineers put a strict vigilance at all the stages of the production procedure to ensure high quality plates. Further, the final inspection is carried out by a high precision computerized electronic level made by Wyler Of Switzerland. We offer a qualitative range of precision cast iron surface plates. These cast iron surface plates provide an accurate reference plane for precision gauging, inspection and tooling setup.

We make use of good quality closed grain cast iron that is as per the IS 210:1993 confirming to Grade FG-220.The meticulous manufacturing processes that are carried out at our premise makes these cast iron plates apt for machine shops, quality control and standard rooms. Our precision cast iron surface plates are utilized in the applications, where strict accuracy required hence, these plates are appropriate for high precision work and are ideal for blue matching. 

We lay a lot of emphasis on the quality and traceability of our cast iron surface plates. Our team of qualified engineers carries out rigorous quality control inspection to test these plates on the criteria of flatness and efficiency. Cast iron box angle plate are made as per IS : 6232 - 1971 and can be used as right angles and squares for layout machine set-ups, tooling and inspection. Matched pairs can be used as height blocks and parallels and without the need for repositioning or disturbing accuracy, a job can be set on one of its faces and rotated in five positions. Also, they can easily be change into special fixtures by providing tenons, pins or stops. The striking features of these angle plates are:

• Manufactured from close grained cast iron having hardness within 170 – 220 HB.
• Castings stress relieved.
• Hand scraped surface finish for Grade 1 accuracy.
• Hand scraped  and ground finish for Grade 2 accuracy.
• Machined T-slots on one face and cored as – cast slots on four opposite faces provided to facilitate clamping.
• Box Angle Plates can be offered in matched pairs (Only if client requested)

The internal stresses of surface plates are relieved either by natural ageing or by artificial seasoning to minimize distortion. These surface plates are offered in two grades Grade-1 and Grade-2 and are carefully finished by hand scrapping. Rust preventive coating is applied before packing of these plates to ensure that surface plate is protected from harsh climatic conditions.

Granite Surface Plate

Cast Iron Plate

Cast iron angle plates are manufacture as per IS:2554 – 1971 standard and they are used as a vertical reference for inspection and tooling purposes, clamping and holding work in vertical position for layout, tooling and machining. They are also perfect for shaping, planning, milling, grinding, drilling and boring operations. These surface plates can be custom make and bear features such as:

• To facilities clamping we provide Webbed and cored slots on both working faces.
• Cast iron conforming to Grade FG: 220 of IS: 210-1978 is used as the raw material.
• Surface finish of Grade-1 accuracy has been achieved by stress relieved and hand scraped castings.
